The mountain carries snow for about five months of the year. Chureito Pagoda has about 650 cherry trees, seen with the pagoda and Mount Fuji together. Caves at the edge of Aokigahara fill with ice in winter. Festivals: Takeda Shrine on 12 April and Ichinomiya Asama Shrine on 15 April.
