Oshino Hakkai, the “Eight Seas of Oshino”, are eight springs in Oshino, Yamanashi, where water from the aquifer beneath Mount Fuji comes to the surface. They are a Natural Monument, part of the Mount Fuji World Heritage Site, and one of Yamanashi's important sights for visitors.
Yoshida-guchi trail town is about 3.8 km away. We have not checked a public-transport route, so plan the journey on the map and look for local information before you go.

What this place is
Oshino Hakkai (忍野八海, 'Eight Seas of Oshino') are the eight springs found in Oshino, Yamanashi, Japan. The aquifer water from Mount Fuji comes out to the ground to form these springs. They are a Natural monument of Japan, part of the Mount Fuji World Heritage Site, and one of Yamanashi Prefecture's important tourist attractions.
