Seasons and closures

Around the spring and autumn equinoxes the sun can be seen setting through the hole in the rock at the Engetsu Island view. Typhoons often pass Cape Shionomisaki, which is used as a reference point in typhoon reports. The swimming season at the Shirahama Beach has not been checked.
