Our guide

Yomiuriland is an amusement park on the hillsides straddling Inagi, Tokyo, and Tama Ward, Kawasaki, opened on 19 March 1964. It has roller coasters and water flumes among its rides, and it is home to Yomiuri Giants Stadium, a training ground of the Yomiuri Giants baseball team — their main one before Tokyo Dome was built. It is run by a wholly owned subsidiary of The Yomiuri Shimbun Holdings.

Our checked record gives the way in: the Keiō Line to Keiō-Yomiuri-Land Station and then the Sky Shuttle gondola up to the park; or, on the Odakyū Line, a bus from Yomiuri-Land-mae or Shin-Yurigaoka Station. See “Plan your visit” below. We have not checked opening hours or tickets.
