Where to start

The checked routes: Saitama Stadium 2002 by the Saitama Rapid Railway to Urawa-Misono Station, then a pedestrian path; and Koma Shrine on foot or by taxi from JR Komagawa Station. Other pages name the nearest station: Tetsudō-Hakubutsukan on the New Shuttle for the Railway Museum, Kita-omiya for Hikawa Shrine, Hon-Kawagoe on the Seibu Shinjuku Line for the Kawagoe Warehouse District, Kōkū-kōen for the Tokorozawa Aviation Memorial Park, Chichibu and Seibu-Chichibu for Chichibu Shrine and Hitsujiyama Park, and Nagatoro for the Nagatoro Rapids.

Seasons and closures

The flowers at Hitsujiyama Park bloom from early April to early May, when the park is crowded. Hikawa Shrine holds its main festival on 1 August. The hidden Kannon of Anraku-ji is said to be shown only on 18 June, though we have not checked this year's arrangements, and the boats' season at the Nagatoro Rapids has not been checked either.
