Our guide
Kawagoe, in the former Iruma District of Musashi Province and now the centre of the city of Kawagoe, Saitama, prospered as a castle town and has long been called “Little Edo”.
Kawagoe Castle is about 700 m away in a straight line and Kita-in about 800 m, so the old town's sights can be walked between. Hon-Kawagoe Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line is about 1.1 km off.
