Our guide
The Uenohara Site, in the Kokubu area of the city of Kirishima, Kagoshima, is an archaeological site with the remains of a Jōmon-period settlement. It was designated a National Historic Site in 1999. Our source says little more than that, so this page is short.
Kokubu Castle is about 4 km away. We have not checked what can be seen at the site or a public-transport route.
