Our guide

Hikawa Maru is a retired Japanese ocean liner built by Yokohama Dock Company for the NYK Line. She was launched on 30 September 1929 and made her maiden voyage from Kobe to Seattle on 13 May 1930, and she is now permanently berthed as a museum ship at Yamashita Park in Naka Ward, Yokohama. She was one of three sister ships named after major Shinto shrines — hers is Hikawa Shrine in Saitama — and the other two, Heian Maru and Hie Maru, were both lost in the Second World War.

Yokohama Chinatown is about 700 m away in a straight line, and Motomachi-Chūkagai Station about 500 m. We have not checked opening hours or fees.
