Our guide

Yokohama Chinatown, just south of Tokyo, is the largest Chinatown in Japan — bigger than those in Kobe and Nagasaki Shinchi Chinatown. It grew up in the late nineteenth century and has some 3,000 to 4,000 residents, with around 250 Chinese-owned or Chinese-themed shops and restaurants, most tightly packed into a small central area.

Motomachi-Chūkagai Station is about 400 m away in a straight line. Other Yokohama sights are close by: Yokohama Stadium is about 0.5 km away, Hikawa Maru 0.7 km, Yokohama Landmark Tower 1.9 km and Minato Mirai 2.1 km.
