Yamanaka Onsen is a hot-spring resort in the city of Kaga, Ishikawa. As the name — “in the mountains” — says, it lies in hill country, and the Daishōji River runs through it. It is popular with both Japanese and foreign visitors; our source counts one hotel and 20 ryokan.
