Our guide
Ohi Racecourse, also known as Tokyo City Keiba (TCK), in Shinagawa, Tokyo, was built for horse racing in 1950; at weekends it also hosts one of the largest flea markets in the Tokyo area. In August 1995 it signed a friendship agreement with Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California: Santa Anita runs the Tokyo City Cup each year, and TCK holds a “Santa Anita Week” each summer featuring the one-mile Santa Anita Trophy.
Our checked record says Ōi Keibajō-mae Station on the Tokyo Monorail is a short walk away, Keikyū Tachiaigawa Station is handy for the main gate, and Toei buses run from Meguro and Shinagawa stations. Times are in “Plan your visit” below. We have not checked race days or flea-market dates.
