Our guide

Nigatsu-dō, the “Hall of the Second Month”, is one of the important structures of Tōdai-ji in Nara. It stands east of the Great Buddha Hall, on the slope of Mount Wakakusa, and together with several other buildings around it forms a small complex of its own within Tōdai-ji.

It is easy to combine with the rest of the temple: Todai-ji Great Buddha and Nara Park are each about 400 m away in a straight line, and Kasuga Taisha about 1 km. Kintetsu Nara Station is about 1.6 km off.
