Mount Kinka, formerly called Mount Inaba, rises to 329 m in the heart of the city of Gifu and has long been the symbol of the city. It stands beside the Nagara River, bringing plenty of nature into the city. Though it is the city's best-known mountain, Mount Dodo to the north is taller.
Gifu Castle is about 100 m from the point we map, and Nagara River Cormorant Fishing on the Nagara River is about 1 km away. We have not checked the ways up.

What this place is
Mt. Kinka (金華山, Kinka-zan), also known as Kinkazan, is located in the heart of the city of Gifu, Gifu Prefecture, Japan, and rises to a height of 329 m (1,079 ft). Previously called Mt. Inaba (稲葉山, Inaba-yama), it has long served as the representative symbol of Gifu. It stands along the Nagara River, creating bountiful nature within the city. Though it is the most famous mountain in the city, Mount Dodo, to the north, is the tallest.
