Ikaho Onsen, in Shibukawa, is one of Gunma's two best-known spas, together with Kusatsu Onsen; the local Jōmō Karuta card game calls it “Ikaho Onsen, famous spa of Japan”. Minakami is Gunma's other leading hot-spring town.
