Our guide

Yokohama Landmark Tower, 296.3 m high, is the third-tallest building and fifth-tallest structure in Japan; it was the tallest building in the country until Abeno Harukas overtook it in 2014. It stands in the Minato Mirai 21 district, next to the Yokohama Museum of Art. The lower 48 floors hold shops, restaurants, clinics and offices, and floors 49 to 70 are the Yokohama Royal Park Hotel, which closed for renovation in April 2025. Two tuned mass dampers sit on a hidden 71st floor.

On the 69th floor is the Sky Garden observatory, with a 360-degree view of the city and, on clear days, Mount Fuji. Sakuragichō Station is about 400 m away in a straight line, and the rest of Minato Mirai is around it. We have not checked the observatory's hours or fees, or whether the hotel has reopened.
