Utsunomiya Futarayama Shrine stands on the summit of Mount Myōjin (Usugamine), a hill only 135 m high in the centre of Utsunomiya, Tochigi. With Futarasan Shrine in Nikkō, it is one of two shrines that claim the title of ichinomiya of the former Shimotsuke Province. Its main festival is held every year on 21 October.
Utsunomiya Gyoza and Utsunomiya Castle are each about 900 m away in a straight line, and Tōbu-Utsunomiya Station about 600 m.
