Our guide

The Umeda Sky Building is two 40-storey towers joined at the top: their two uppermost floors are connected by glass bridges, with escalators and lifts crossing an open atrium between them. Designed by Hiroshi Hara and built by Takenaka Corporation, it was completed in 1993 and stands 170 m high, 190 m with its spires, on the edge of the Umeda business district in Kita ward.

The connection at the top is the reason to come and look. We have not checked whether, when or for how much visitors can go up, so check the building's own information before you go. Nakatsu Station on the Hankyū Kōbe Line is about 600 m away in a straight line, and Umeda Arts Theater is about 0.9 km off.
