Our guide

The Tottori Sand Museum opened on 18 November 2006 near the Tottori Sand Dunes, showing sand sculptures in temporary facilities. On 14 April 2012 it reopened as the world's first permanent indoor exhibition space for sand art, with works by fifteen sculptors from around the world.

Tottori Sand Dunes is about 800 m away in a straight line, so the two go well together. We have not checked opening hours, fees or the current exhibition.
