Our guide

Makuhari, in Chiba City's Hanamigawa and Mihama wards, has a seaside district built on land reclaimed from the sea in about ten years. The writer Steven Poole called it “Japan's own vision of the future now” — a “shrine to techno-optimism” that “looks just like a city out of a video game”.

Kaihin-Makuhari Station on the Keiyō Line is about 650 m from the point this page is mapped to. Yatsu-higata is about 4.3 km away in a straight line. We have not checked what is on at the time of your visit.
