Kunitomo, in the former Sakata District of Ōmi Province and today Kunitomo-chō in Nagahama, Shiga, was a centre of firearm making from the Warring States period to the end of the Edo period, named alongside Sakai and Negoro.
Kurokabe Square is about 3.3 km away in a straight line and Nagahama Castle about 3.9 km. We have not checked what can be visited in Kunitomo today, opening hours or a public-transport route, so look for local information before you go.
