Our guide
Kairaku-en, in Mito, is counted with Kenrokuen Garden and Korakuen Garden as one of the Three Great Gardens of Japan. Our source says little more than that, so this page does not describe the garden itself.
Kairakuen Station on the Jōban Line is about 50 m from the point this page is mapped to. Tokiwa shrine is only about 0.2 km away and Art Tower Mito about 1.2 km. We have not checked opening hours or fees, so check local information before you go.
