Our guide

Hamamatsu Castle, in central Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, is the ruin of a castle on a hill in the plain, with some replica buildings. Under the Tokugawa shogunate it was the seat of the fudai daimyō who ruled the Hamamatsu Domain in Tōtōmi Province. It is also called Shusse Castle, “the castle of advancement”.

Enshū-Byōin Station is about 750 m away in a straight line, and Act City Hamamatsu about 1.2 km. We have not checked opening hours or fees for the replica buildings.
