Our guide

Greenland in Arao, Kumamoto, is among the largest amusement parks in Kyushu. The whole Greenland Resort covers 300 hectares, with the amusement park, a golf course, a hotel, a hot spring and a shopping mall among its facilities, and it is run by a company of the Saibu Gas group. For a long time it was called Mitsui Greenland, after the nearby Mitsui Miike coal mine; the name was shortened to Greenland on 21 July 2007, after the mine closed.

Birthplace of the Miyazaki Brothers is about 2.8 km away. We have not checked opening hours, tickets or a public-transport route.
