Our guide
Karasuyama Castle in Nasukarasuyama, northern Tochigi, was at the end of the Edo period the home of a branch of the Ōkubo clan, daimyō of the Karasuyama Domain. It was also called Gagyū Castle, the “Reclining Ox Castle”. Our source says little more than that, so this page is short.
Karasuyama Station on the Karasuyama Line is about 1.6 km away in a straight line. We have not checked what can be seen on the site today.
