Our guide
Isawa Castle was an early Heian-period fortified stockade in what is now the city of Ōshū, Iwate. The site was designated a National Historic Site in 1922. Our source says little more than that, so this page is short.
Tonomi Palisade is about 2 km away. We have not checked what can be seen on the site today or a public-transport route.
