Our guide
The Shimane Art Museum in Matsue opened in 1999. Designed by Kiyonori Kikutake, with a total floor area of 12,500 m², it holds Japanese and Western art, including Momoyama-period folding screens and paintings by Corot, Sisley, Monet and Gauguin.
Matsue Shinjiko-Onsen Station on the Kitamatsue Line is about 1 km away in a straight line, and Matsue Castle about 1.7 km. We have not checked opening hours or fees.
