The SENDAI Pageant of Starlight is an illumination event in Aoba Ward, Sendai: the zelkova trees along Jōzenji-dōri and Aoba-dōri are hung with hundreds of thousands of LEDs. It is held every year from early to late December. The lighting hours change from year to year and by day of the week, so check the year's schedule before you go.
