Our guide

Mount Ōmuro is a 580 m cinder-cone volcano in the Izu-Tōbu volcano field of Itō, and a symbol of the city. It stands on its own, and every early spring the mountain is burned, a tradition carried on for more than 700 years; that is why it is often covered in annual plants. It is a national Natural Monument and part of Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park.
