Our guide
Jōgashima is an island off the southern tip of the Miura Peninsula, in the city of Miura, Kanagawa, facing Sagami Bay. It has the Jōgashima Lighthouse, the fourth-oldest Western-style lighthouse built in Japan, and Jōgashima Park on its eastern side. Since 1959 it has been linked to the mainland by a box-girder bridge, which in 1963 was the longest in Asia.
