Our guide

The Takasaki Byakue Daikannon — “the Giant White-Robed Kannon of Takasaki” — is a statue of Kannon on top of Mount Kannonyama in Takasaki, Gunma. Locally it is often just called Kannonyama, and the name is sometimes read Byakui. It even appears on the “hi” card of Jōmo Karuta.

Takasaki Castle is about 2.6 km away in a straight line. We have not checked opening hours or a public-transport route.
