Our guide
Aso-Kujū National Park spans Kumamoto and Ōita. It takes its name from Mount Aso, the largest active volcano in Japan and one of the largest caldera volcanoes in the world, and from the Kujū mountains.
Mt. Aso crater is about 100 m from the point we map. The park is large, so choose the area you want to visit; because Aso is an active volcano, check the latest volcano information before you go.
