Our guide

Arima Onsen is a hot-spring resort in Kobe's Kita ward, near Mount Rokkō, and it has a long pedigree: The Pillow Book, written in the Heian period, names it as one of the three famous springs of Japan, and in the Edo period it was ranked the most prestigious hot spring of all. Its closeness to Osaka and Kobe is a large part of why so many people come.

Arima Onsen Station is about 200 m away in a straight line, so the town is easy to reach without a car. Mt. Rokko is about 2.7 km off.
