Our guide
The Fruit Line is the nickname of about 14 km of Fukushima Prefectural Route 5, which runs through the west and north of the city of Fukushima. Fukushima has the largest farm output in the prefecture and is called a “fruit kingdom”: it is one of Japan's leading peach growers and produces more pears than any other municipality. The alluvial fans on the western side of the Fukushima Basin, once mulberry fields, have been turned into orchards.
We have not checked which orchards take visitors or their seasons, so look for local information before you go.
