Our guide
Nishio Castle in the city of Nishio, Aichi, was at the end of the Edo period the home of the Ogyū-Matsudaira clan, daimyō of the Nishio Domain. It was also known as Tsuru-jō, Tsuruga-jō or Saijō-jō. Our source says little more than that, so this page is short.
Nishio Station on the Meitetsu Nishio Line is about 950 m away in a straight line. We have not checked what can be seen on the site today.
