Our guide

The Jukkokutōge Cable Car, officially the Jikkoku Cable Line, is a funicular in the town of Kannami, Shizuoka, run by the Izuhakone Railway. It opened on 16 October 1956, built by the Sunzu Railway, which the Izuhakone Railway took over in 1957. It climbs Jukkoku Pass, “ten provinces pass”, so named because ten of the old provinces are said to be visible from the top. Until 2018 its cars were painted in the colours of the Seibu Lions baseball team.

The point we map is about 150 m from Jukkoku-Noboriguchi. Izusan Shrine is about 4.2 km away. We have not checked the timetable or fares.
