Kōfu Castle, also called Maizuru Castle, was a castle in the city of Kōfu; its surroundings today are Maizuru Castle Park. The site has been a National Historic Site since 2019.
It is close to the railway: Kōfu Station is only about 300 m away in a straight line. Tsutsujigasaki Castle and Takeda Shrine are each about 2.5 km off.

What this place is
Kōfu Castle (甲府城, Kōfu jō) was a Japanese castle located in the city of Kōfu, Yamanashi Prefecture, in the Chubu region of Japan. The site has been protected as a National Historic Site since 2019. The castle is also known as Maizuru Castle, and the present-day surroundings are called Maizuru Castle Park (舞鶴公園, Maizuru-jō Kōen).
