Our guide
Kuwana Castle in Kuwana, northern Mie, was at the end of the Edo period the home of a branch of the Matsudaira clan, daimyō of the Kuwana Domain. It was also known as Ōgi-jō, the Fan Castle, and Asahi-jō. Our source says little more than that, so this page is short.
Nishi-Kuwana Station is about 1.3 km away in a straight line. Nagashima Castle is about 3.1 km away and Nagashima Spa Land about 4.9 km.
