What this place is

Qingdao, previously transliterated as Tsingtao, is a prefecture-level city in China's Shandong province.Lying across the Shandong Peninsula and looking out to the Yellow Sea, it borders the prefecture-level cities of Yantai to the northeast, Weifang to the west, and Rizhao to the southwest.The Jiaozhou Bay Bridge links Qingdao's main urban area with Huangdao district, straddling Jiaozhou Bay.Qingdao was an important fortress, and is a major seaport and naval base, as well as a commercial and financial center.It is a major nodal city of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) that connects Continental and East Asia with Europe.Administered at the sub-provincial level, Qingdao has jurisdiction over seven districts and three county-level cities (Jiaozhou, Pingdu, Laixi).

Aoshima Shrine & island (青島) is one of the standout places to visit in Miyazaki. Give yourself unhurried time for photos, seasonal views, and nearby food stops. IC cards such as Suica, Pasmo, or ICOCA cover most trains and city buses.

  • Buy tickets online in advance and head to the furthest popular ride first, working back toward the entrance.
  • Book timed-entry or express passes for the two or three attractions you care about most.
  • Catch at least one parade or stage show; they are usually included in admission.
  • Save the illumination or night show for the end — the park looks completely different after dark.

  • Peak crowds are Japanese school holidays: late March–early April, Golden Week, mid-August.
